APPLICATION AND SELECTION PROCESS:
Our Application and selection process is determined by our Admission Policy. Where a process of selection has to be applied as a consequence of the number of applicants exceeding the number of available places in the school or grade for which the application is made, applicants will be considered according to the following criteria (unless placement in the School would not be in the best interests of the learner concerned):
The school will consider the learner’s previous academic report, including educator comments.
The school may also conduct a personal interview and may request further information if necessary, to establish whether a learner has special education needs and will assess if the school has the capacity to accommodate such needs.
An applicant who meets the above-mentioned criteria may be given preference should there be spaces available in an under-subscribed subject.
Consideration will be given to siblings of current and immediate past learners of De Rust Futura Academy School, providing they meet our criteria.
